Robbins-Gioia surveyed 232 US companies spanning a host of different
industries and found that of those respondents who had or were in
the process of implementing an enterprise resource (ERP) system, 51%
say the implementation was unsuccessful. Additionally, 46% said they
did not feel that their company understood how to use the system to
improve business procedure. The study also found that 56% of
respondents have program management office (PMO) in place, of which
36% qualify their ERP system as "unsuccessful." |
